"World War II Songs You Never Heard" by Betty Blanchard (Jazz Vocal Artist from Virginia)

Take a marvelous journey to the era of the 1940's with Betty Blanchard and her mini CD, "World War II Songs You Never Heard." This trio of songs were written by Blanchard some sixty plus years ago but have just recently been released. The vocals on this album are rich and textured as they blend superbly over the sweet, jazz like instruments. The song, "You're My Atomic Bomb" is a nostalgic throwback to a time when the war was finally over and soldiers were coming home. Reminisce of the Andrew Sisters style, "That's My G I," highlights multi- part harmonies that easily swirl around the upbeat and vibrant tempo. "We Haven't Got A Home To Our Name" is true cabaret style as the melodic melody swings with style and grace. The CD, "World War II Songs You Never Heard," reveals memorable music of the 1940's and one you will surely enjoy.

"American Coal" by Stella Parton (Country Artist from Ireland)

"American Coal" is the newest released album from the talented singer, Stella Parton, and is comprised of wonderful Country music. As the title of this album suggests, it is dedicated to the men and women who spend their life working in the coal mining industry. Parton also includes brief narrations within the CD describing the history of coal and the significance it brings to our nation. Her bouncy rendition of "Sixteen Tons" on the song "Coal Medley" is sweet and charming as she sings of the labors of the hard working coal miner. Another song, "Coal Tattoo" generates heartfelt lyrics with tasty Country Rock tonality. "I'm A Coal Mining Man" is pure Country at its best as Parton voice is strong and sincere accompanied by a smooth and flowing beat. If you like good old Country music with a splash of Rock then "American Coal" is an album you will really enjoy, especially if you're a fan of Loretta Lynn or Tammy Wynette.

"No Misconception" by Chris MacDonald (Country Artist from Tennessee)

Chris Macdonald and his album, "No Misconception," show off a collection of good old fashion Country songs that feature his deep yet velvety singing voice. "No Misconception" kicks off the album and is a faced paced Country song replete with backup singers and wonderful fiddle playing. "She Likes Spanish Guitar" is a slow moving and old-fashioned sounding Country song in which Macdonald croons about a girl he loves. "Do it, Don't Talk About it" is a quicker, fun song that features some excited piano playing and might just make one want to square dance. This is an album created for those who appreciate the timeless approach to Country music, with simpler sounds and a high level of focus on the singer's voice and what he has got to say. If you are one who appreciates that classic Country and Western sound, then "No Misconception" is an album you should own.

"Let's Talk About Love" recalls the experiences of true, romantic love with a slow and subtle groove. "Should We Try" is a piercing ballad telling of the struggles of love.
